True Bromance: Donald Trump And His Past Life Soul Mates

While Donald Trump spent 10 of his first 30 days in office golfing, unelected co-president Elon Musk has been given free rein to dismantle federal agencies and cut funding to essential programs. And despite a CNN poll showing that more than half of Americans disapprove, Donald Trump continues to bestow upon him more and more power.

With each passing day, we see more of Musk and less of Trump. MSNBC's Rachel Maddow described the president as being “effectively sidelined” while Elon Musk basks in the spotlight. Calling Trump “mostly decorative,” she stated, “The president appears to be weak and beside the point...”

Just how is it that Musk has been able to insert himself as top dog?

Early Signs of Relationship Dysfunction

Musk was not always Trump's biggest fan. In fact, he once called Trump a “stone-cold loser.”

And in his first meeting with House Republicans last November, Trump quipped, “Elon won’t go home. I can’t get rid of him.” In the new book by Trump biographer Michael Wolff, he writes that when speaking about the now famous scene of Musk jumping up and down at an October campaign rally, Trump mused, “What the f*** is wrong with this guy? And why doesn’t his shirt fit?”

I had to ask myself, why exactly have these two self-obsessed figures come together? Is there a past life connection, perhaps a karmic debt from one to the other? And how is it, with both craving to be the most important person on the planet, their bromance hasn't yet blown up?

Is It Real Or Is It (Past Life) Memorex?

The strongest indicator of a past life connection between two individuals is a conjunction to the South Node of Person A from a planet or planets in the natal chart of Person B. There should also be a conjunction to the South Node of Person B from a planet in the chart of Person A. It should exist in both charts.

In the Bi-Wheel for Donald Trump and Elon Musk, you can see that Musk's South Node at 15 Leo conjoins Trump's Pluto at 10 Leo. But there's not a South Node conjunction, not even a wide one, from Trump's chart to Musk's South Node.

Along Came Vlad

After years of denials, Trump no longer seems to care whether Americans know about his friendship with Russian president Vladimir Putin. During the recent, spectacular dressing down of Ukrainian president Volodymr Zelensky in the White House, Trump portrayed Putin as a victim, raging “He had to suffer through the Russia hoax.” Trump was of course referring to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 elections and their attempts to help get Trump elected.

When we look at the Bi-Wheel for these two world leaders, we can see that there are South Node connections from Putin to Trump and Trump to Putin. Look closer, and you can see there is a startling symmetry to those connections.

While in different signs, the South Node in both Trump's chart and Putin's chart sit at the 20 degree mark. And in both charts the South Node makes a conjunction, albeit a wide one, to the other's Mars, at 26 degrees in both charts.

This suggests to me multiple shared lifetimes where there was a magnetic attraction between the two. Competition between them was more likely than cooperation, though it's plausible that in at least one lifetime they found a common ground for channeling their aggressions. As Mars is also the planet of self-interest, it's possible that in more than one of those lifetimes they found ways to help each other benefit from the hardships of others.

The True Bromance Is Not Between Donald And Elon

So how does Elon Musk figure in this dynamic? In October of 2024 the Wall Street Journal reported that Elon Musk has had “multiple, high level conversations” with Vladimir Putin, going as far back as 2022. Both Musk and the Kremlin denied the allegations. Since taking over X (formerly Twitter), Musk has made changes allowing Russian to post propaganda and disinformation aimed at Americans.

Even more remarkable than the mirroring of the South Node/Mars conjunctions between Putin and Trump, we see in the Bi-Wheel for Putin and Musk that they have a South Node to South Node conjunction. A conjunction of the Moon's Nodes is an indication of shared karmic destiny. Not only have these two traveled together lifetime after lifetime, they have been meeting up to hopefully learn from each other and grow together.

So how is that working out? Both men have South Node in Leo, the sign of the king. Negative traits associated with Leo South Node include arrogance, delusions of grandeur, and overuse of will. Past life tendencies include a need to be in the spotlight, to be seen as special, and to exercise authority without any regard for how it affects others.

With North Node in Aquarius, both men are being asked to develop humility, awareness of equality, and a commitment to humanitarian causes. And they are being asked to do it together.

You don't have to be an astrologer to see that both men are still stuck in their South Node patterns. And with Putin's South Node conjunct Pluto and sidling up to his Midheaven, the lure of power would be a strong driver for avoiding his karmic lessons and for attracting the admiration of past life buddies, Trump and Musk.

Threeway Bromance Or Unholy Trinity?

The current life connection between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin has been under the microscope for some time. Elon Musk is the newcomer to this unholy trinity of power brokering. But as we've seen in the Bi-Wheel for Musk and Putin, their Karmic Bromance indicates a much stronger connection than those of us watching from the sidelines might suspect.

The Tri-Wheel for this Karmic Threeway seems to indicate that Putin's South Node is the fulcrum for this unholy alliance. Despite having dubbed himself king, I have to wonder if Trump is, as Hillary Clinton pointed out in their 2016 debate, simply Putin's puppet.
