Jane Goodall: Peacemaker, Protector, Pioneer
And always I have this feeling ―which may not be true at all ―that I am being used as a messenger.
― Jane Goodall, Reason for Hope: A Spiritual Journey
It's not often that a soul comes into the world with this strong an awareness of their spiritual purpose. With a Soul Destiny (and dominant vibration) of 9-9, Jane Goodall's Soul Plan, shown below, reveals a lifetime as a channel for higher truths. Extremely intuitive, those with 9-9 as their Destiny are here to act as a catalyst for change. They are the peacemakers and protectors.
Jane Goodall's work has had a profound effect on our understanding of animal intelligence. Before she began her pioneering studies on the social life of chimpanzees, it was believed that only humans could make and use tools, display complex emotions, and develop the kinds of close social bonds necessary for cooperation and survival.
Goodall didn't always get recognition and respect for her discoveries and her methods of study. Goodall herself has said that in 1950 when she first started her research, women were not welcome in the field of primatology. She was criticized for giving her chimps names instead of numbers, and for her claim that they had individual personalities.
By The Numbers
The Soul Plan chart is always calculated to one's birth name. Jane Goodall was born Valerie Jane Morris-Goodall, and that is the name I used to calculate her numbers. 7-7 in her Worldly Goals position reinforces her 9-9 abilities to wake people up and be a catalyst for change. It's the number of magnetism and charisma as well as fame. It explains her ability to communicate her ideas to the masses.
Her Worldly Challenge of 9-9, the number of power and authority, would mean she would need to stand in her power in order to change the prevailing science. Add to that her Spiritual Challenge of 5-5, having to learn that her intuitive powers are real. People with a 5-5 spiritual challenge often confuse their intuitive knowing as passing ideas.
That said, 5-5 confers the ability to be highly sensitive to the energies of others. In Goodall's case, she was empathically connected to her chimpanzees.
A Spiritual Legacy For The Planet
Goodall's 10-1 Worldly Talent indicates that hers was a lifetime of pure service. 10-1s have a direct connection to the divine. In her book, Reason for Hope: A Spiritual Journey, Goodall described having had a mystical experience in Notre Dame cathedral. She believed there is a "spiritual power in every living thing," including in the chimpanzees and in the trees.
Listen to her own words on her spirituality here.
In her Spiritual Talents position we see 3-3, the number of the master teacher. 3-3s are here not just to share knowledge, but also to guide people in understanding their own spirituality. 3-3s are natural born leaders.
Goodall most certainly fulfilled her 11-2 Spiritual Goal, a second number indicating a life as a channel for higher truth. Another teaching vibration, 11-2 reveals her mission to create a body of work that makes a lasting contribution to our understanding of ourselves and the planet.
Jane Goodall left the planet on October 1st of this year (2025, in case you're reading this in the far future), having realized her Soul Destiny with humility, compassion, and regard not just for humanity, but for all living things. Hail the goer!
