8-8 Soul Destiny –Live Long And Prosper
In traditional numerology 8 is considered the number of abundance. Today, 8/8, the energy of that number is doubled. It's also the date of the opening of the Lion's Gate Portal, the alignment of the Sun in Leo with bright star Sirius and planet Earth, making this a particularly auspicious day for manifesting and for receiving spiritual wisdom.
There's already a lot being written about the Lion's Gate. So I thought I would talk about a different 8-8, the number representing Emotional Intelligence, Clairvoyance, and Service to Society in the Soul Plan system.
In The Beginning Was The Word
In the same way that a number spiritual traditions believe that it was sound that brought the universe into being, the sound of the name given to you at birth contains the elements of your purpose, echoing what's in your fingerprints and in your natal chart. A Soul Plan reading converts the sound vibration of your birth name into numbers based on Kabbalistic numerology to reveal key aspects of your soul journey.
To determine your Soul Plan, the letters in your name are converted into numbers. After a little magic math as I call it, 7 pairs of numbers are overlaid on a six pointed star to reveal the worldly challenge, talents and goals, the spiritual challenge, talents and goals, and the soul destiny encoded in your birth name.
8-8 and Karmic Return
As I mentioned above, in traditional numerology most people associate 8 with abundance. But it is also the number associated with karmic return. In the Soul Plan system, 8-8 is the strongest Earth energy. But souls with the 8-8 vibration often resist coming back to earth, especially if 8-8 is in the Worldly Challenge position. That's because those with 8-8 in their Soul Plan are high frequency souls who don't incarnate as frequently as others. With longer periods between lifetimes, 8-8s often need to re-learn what it means to be back in a body.
8-8s are Empaths
Souls who incarnate with 8-8 in their Soul Plan are highly sensitive and often clairvoyant. They come in with a gift for seeing deeply into others, as well as into situations and even places.
As 8-8s become more comfortable in the earth plane, they are tasked with sharing their spiritual knowledge with society. They carry a level of emotional intelligence that allows them to interact with people from all walks of life. They are able to change their energy to match the person they are talking to, enabling them to make connections and build bridges among different groups of people.
When a soul carries 8-8 in the position of Soul Destiny, it can make a significant impact in the world. This soul's job is to illuminate spiritual ideas that are not normally seen in the greater society. This is typically done through the energies of the number in the Spiritual Talent position.
The Soul Destiny of Mr. Spock
As seen in the chart below Leonard Nimoy has 8-8 in the position of Soul Destiny. Most of society recognizes his from his role as the unflappable Vulcan First Office Spock from the original Star Trek.
What many may not know is that Nimoy was deeply involved with his Jewish faith and active in his community. According to his Wikipedia page, he narrated a film about the sects of Orthodox Jews and published a book of photography honoring the Shekinah, the feminine face of God found in Jewish mysticism.
So if Nimoy's Soul Destiny was to spread spiritual wisdom within the greater society, why was he not more well known for his faith?
Listen To The Hand
In a way he was. Remember, I said that fulfillment of the 8-8 Destiny comes through the use of the Spiritual Talents, which in Nimoy's chart is 6-6, the number of creativity and ideas.
In his tenure as Mr. Spock, Leonard Nimoy was instrumental in determining what would differentiate his character's behaviors from those of the rest of the crew members. What were the things that defined him as Vulcan. One of those was the Vulcan hand greeting.
According to Nimoy, the Vulcan “Live Long and Prosper,” salute was inspired by the traditional hand gesture of the Kohanim, during the Priestly Blessing. Nimoy describes the process leading to his inspiration in this video.
In the video he describes how the gesture became a part of popular culture. Nimoy went on to say that 50 years after it first appeared on television, people still use it to greet him in the street.
I can't think of a better example of using the Spiritual Talents, in this case the creativity of the 6-6, to fulfill the 8-8 destiny of spreading previously unknown ideas in society.
